DTIM8 Dhcp

have a DTIM8 which was all working fine until I went into the Web manager and changed it to dhcp

(this was done in trying to get another IPECS module working)

Now though it will not boot. If I monitor the serial output it gets stuck on DHCP request, although I have a DHCP running on my pc

using Wireshark shows continual DHCP request then Offer, but no accept

I just want to set it back to fixed ip

Your best trying to connect the DTIM8 to a defaulted system in order to it being given an IP address from the IPECS. From there you can log back in and assign it another IP address and then connect back to the original system.

Ok, Press Trans *#..... TRANS/PGM..... the transfer key?.......sigh!

Hello, One could connect to the DTIM8 via RS232 - the from the commsnd setenv.. This allows you to change the IP Address, Gateway etc....
The easy way is to connect the DTIM8 to a router/network that has DHCP server... Then scan the network for the device IP... One you know that - you can browse the DTIM8 and change the setting - St back to static IP and fix the IP Address etc
