Has anyone come across the problem of receiving attachments in Lotus Notes but instead of the actual file sent you receive a .DTF file?

I'm aware that this is an exchange header file used when sending to Notes but I do not know why this file is received or why the original document is not there/useable...or how to fix it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You might like to check if the message (body text of the email) is coming from Outlook/Outlook Express in Microsoft Rich Text Format. If so ask them to send the email using Plain Text. Also, ask them to check if the email address they are using is in the Personal Address Book. If so ask them to check the properties of the address and deselect the checkbox labeled: "Always send to this recipient using Microsoft Exchange rich text format" in the Personal Name & Address Book (on the SMTP - Address tab).
