Dterm Series 1 handset on SV8100

Hello,

I have a client who has a NEC IPK system with dterm series 1 handsets, and I'm quoting to replaced the main equipment only to a SV8100. Will the Dterm handsets work with this system? Look forward on some feedback. Thank you

Just to be sure, what is the model number on the bottom of the phone? However most NEC systems are backwards compatible. There is one thing to bear in mind though, that some features may not be available such as soft keys!

DTerm Series i phones will work. As well as te newer DT300/700 phones.

Thing is they could be E series and possibly even Hypercore! Depends on what the OP means by series 1!

I know that series E DTerms will not work on the SV-8100 system. I had to straighten out many salesmen on that point. If you look at the SV-8100 IS manual it has the series i phone listed. You will lose some of the new features that the DT300/700 offers.
