I have an issue here...

I'm trying to DTE an IP500v2 with the instructions provided for me in the IP Office 6.0 manual with no reply from the IP Office. Is there a different instruction set for IP500v2?

Is there a way to erase the configuration by modifying the SD card?

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks guys.

OK, I went ahead and was able to format and recreate the SD card.

However, funny thing happened. The IP address was not re-configured to 192.168.42.1. The entire configuration was defaulted but the IP address. The IP address remained on the box.

No need to use the DTE for that:

Code:
IP Office 500 Reset Button
At the rear of the IP Office 500 system is a reset button. This button, when held for the relevant time period, performs the following functions:
Time Held (seconds)
CPU LED State
Action when released
0 (normal state)
Green
n/a
1-5
Off
Nothing except CPU LED returns to normal state.
5-10
Orange
Controlled reboot but also waits for all active calls to clear as well as disallowing new incoming or outgoing calls.
10-30
Flashing Orange
Erase Config, Erase NVConfig, Erase Alarm Logs (and Audit Trail).
Controlled reboot, does not wait for active calls to clear.
30-40
Red
Erase Config, Erase NVConfig, Erase Alarm Logs (and Audit Trail), Erase Main Software
Controlled reboot, does not wait for active calls to clear.
40+
Flashing Green
Nothing except CPU LED returns to normal state.
• Pressing the button while in the loader has no effect.
• If the button is held while the unit is starting up, normal start-up will pause until the button is released.
• If the button is held after start-up, normal system operation will continue until the button is released.
• If the button is held for between 5 and 10 seconds an audit trail entry will be created indicating a reboot was requested via the reset button.
• If the button is held for between 10 and 40 seconds there will be no record in the audit trail of the button being pressed (as the audit trail will be deleted).
