Hi All,

A client wants to set up a dr site using mirroring with the manual failover. As far as i am aware, this involves the high safety mode with the double commit. my question is that if the link between the servers go, then how will the live sql server process the transactions if they are not committed on the DR side??

Thanks in advance,

Niall

If the link drops, then the mirroring will fall back into high speed (asynchronous) mode. When the link comes back up it will stay in asynchronous mode until the databases are back in sync, then it will switch back to synchronous (high safety) mode.
