We have a Nortel Meridian system that keeps disabling the loop #2 in the switch. It gets the DTA019, then the DTC017, then DTA021 then loop #2 disables with an alarm red. We have to disable that loop then reset the counters (RCNT) then re enable that loop to bring it back up. It does this at least 2 times a day for the last week. Bell South has performed test on the T1 line from both ends, and our tech support for the switch says the switch is fine. Bell South says their T1 is fine. Someone isn't fine though. The T1's have been swapped out along with the CSU and the problem still occurs. Any suggestions, hints, or tips? Anything would be useful, thanks!

Check your clocking to make sure you aren't on Free run

Shut up and load the Photon Torpedoes...

If you are not in free run, post your counters. What errors are you getting on the T1?

Think we have the problem fixed. Bell South monitored the T1 for 48 hours with a "t-Bird" and found 45 errors on their end. They brought another wire pair into our switch and 17 hours later there is no errors on the system.

We were getting alot of LOSFA errors (between 40 and 90)
Also we were getting 2 and 3 OS-LOSFA errors.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep this updated if the problem occurs again.
