DT900 handsfree mode: Retro vs new?

Does anyone know what's the difference in the DT900 terminal in the settings, where the handsfree mode can be set to "retro" or "new"?

Got an answer on this one. It's dBlevels:

Retro mode: +10dB
New Mode: +13dB
