Hello

Has anyone ever converted a dt700 from nec sip to std sip. If so what is the procedure. I have the STD sip firmware and have the ip phone manager. Just not sure what files in the zip file I need to add to the root of the tftp server and the settings for ip phone manager

This is the name of the file you will need. The key identifier is the 'STD-SIP' at the end.
DT700_v2.3.82.21_DT730G_v3.1.49.30_DT820_v4.3.14.22_STD-SIP_FW

Thank you. I have that file yes but need instructions on what elements of the file i need to drop into the tftp folder and then what options i need select fron the ip phone manager. as i am converting from NEC SIP to STD SIP do i also need to include confg files associated with NEC SIP as well in order for the phone to read the new firmware

thanks in advance

If you drill into the folder, will see all of the individual files required under the 'update' folder.

Ok so basically copy and paste everything in the update folder. Will the current configuration files for nec sip need to be included in order to request for the phone to download the new files or will it look for them automatically. Any particular settings needed in ip phone manager. Cheers

Don't know the phone manager. I always used pumpkin to load files, or plugged them into a UC3 where it automatically pulls the files from the server.

Miserably failing with this exercise. placed the entire contents of the update folder into the root folder of tftp and pointed the phones download address to that of tftp server. it said download failed. is there configuration files to be modified. maybe when converting the phone from nec sip to std sip its slightly more complicated who knows

Yippee thanka. I hAve used pumpkin and successfully converted the phones firmware. Now I have entered the details of the sip server all correctly but when the phone reboots it's stuck on dhcp complete and doesn't make any further attempts to register with sip server

You may need to log into the phone and specify IP addresses.
In order, press HOLD, TRF, *, #, use the bottom button on the round disk key at the lower right to move the cursor to the password field. The default published password is 6633222 (nec on the letters). Once you are in, you may need to hunt around and type in the necessary addresses. Specifically the 1st server address of the SIP phone host.

Thank you. It's for an open source platform such as asterisk so might take a while to adjust and tweek settings. Cheers
