Hi All,

I've successfully converted a DT700 over from the NEC-SIP server we are retiring and have it connected to our router as a SIP phone. Inbound/outbound/internal all working fine.
Happy days.

For some reason inbound calls are showing up with a hexadecimal string instead of the number/name of the caller. I know this is obviously an incompatbility somewhere along the line between the ancient NEC and the more modern router (just a Frtizbox), but I'm not sure where to correct it.

Any ideas?

Hello Backin69,

I am also working on the same thing and I have not been able to get the NEC DT700 phone to work connected to an Asterisk-based PBX.

Once the NEC extension correctly receives its configuration, it sends the SIP REGISTER to the new PBX but not correctly (We think it is not sending the SIP password).

The SIP PBX where we are trying to register the extension responds with a SIP 401 Unauthorized.

Here the thread with more information:
Has this happened to you during your tests?

Thanks in advance.
