Hi all,

Can someone pls advise how to get the possibility in following scenario:

" When DECT Extn calls (A-party )another digital Extn ( B-party ) & hangs up , call completion on b-party is done immediately... Digital phone goes into IDLE mode ...No more reorder tone on Digital Extn or hangup message....

If i need the same scenario in opposite direction, Extension calls a DECT extension & hangs up on completion of call.. Is it possible that DECT goes into IDLE mode immediately without the need for pressing button on DECT phone on getting Reorder tone as well as hang up message...

Had a look on AS as well as SERV parameters... Couldn't figure out anything...

Can someone has any suggestion...

Thanks & Regards,

Hi

Onhook is handle by the handset and not by the system.
You should ask Ericsson for a SW modification of the handset

Thanks fouesnant for the clarification...
Our friend FCPLI will be required to come up with a solution... He is hiding for some time & enjoying african safaris & is without a net connecton in the bushes there..

Cheers,

in fact, if I remember correctly, this is a patch in ELDP. we have had a servicepack in BC11 (or 12) where we didn't need to push the NO button on the DECT. of course E/// realised this was a fault and corrected it. so this is controlled by the MD110, not the DECT, or something in between (if MD110 sends no text string (ie "Hung up", the DECT will release the call).

Hi,

Thanks daddy for giving some ideas in the right direction...
Is it possible you can have a look on your treasure box & retrieve this patch??...

I am running my system on BC12SP8 & no plans to upgrade in near future...

Thanks,

will have to look into this, the DECTs were DT590's so there is great chance this wont work for the DT412 (I read the title of this thread AFTER responding)

Daddy,

I guess we all are curious about this patch ...
At least, i am!

Thanks in advance.

the problem appeared in BC11 AFTER loading SP14

these are the patches that were responsible for the different behaviour:

101899 in CTLP
101645 in ELDP

in SP15 105592(CTLP) and 105616(ELDP) restored the normal "hung up" behaviour, replacing the above patches

How do i use these patches?

pcasi:unit=ctlp,ci=105592,rev=?-???,sector=rel(?),addr=???;
pcacs:unit=ctlp,ci=105592;
pccos:unit=ctlp,ci=105592;

pcasi:unit=eldp,ci=105616,rev=?-???,sector=rel(?),addr=???;
pcacs:unit=eldp,ci=105616;
pccos:unit=eldp,ci=105616;

am i on the right track?

no, in fact if you upgrade your BC11 system to SP14, you will have the behaviour that the dect returns to idle mode after the call is cleared. inserting patches 105592 and 105616 will remove the (wrong) sp14 patches and restore the normal behaviour. I don't have 101899 and 101645, but they are available on TACOS (or make a system in SP14).

I very much doubt that you can get the dect-phone to return to idle mode in the same moment as the A-party goes on hook. You have to live with a 10 seconde time-out delay and the hung-up display message before it clears down the radio link.

yeah, agreed. but the very point is that you don't have to push the NO button to free up the DECT.
