Can anyone tell me whats wrong with this code

=Abs(DSum("[Advocacy]","tblMemberServices","[ROCID]"="6"))

At a guess:
=Abs(DSum("[Advocacy]","tblMemberServices","[ROCID]=6"))
Assuming that ROCID is numeric.
