I have a report that is grouping by Cost Element, there are 2 Cost Elements in the data so midway I have a Sum in the Cost Element Footer, then all the data for the second Cost Element is listed. In the page footer there is a Grand Total SUM for all the cost for both Cost Elements. I want an additional Sum of the first Cost Element to be repeated in the page footer, but I can't get DSUM to perform the function. Here is what I've tried...
ST is a field in the Query named Labor Data, I want the sum of ST for all records that have the below in the WBS field.

=DSum("ST]","Labor Data","[WBS Element]='VDE01.07.2.a*'")

Thanks

Perhaps this ?
=DSum("ST","[Labor Data]","[WBS Element]='VDE01.07.2.a*'")

Hope This Helps, PH.

To revise my original question...
The code I'm using in an unbound text box is..
[=DSum("ST]","Labor Data","[WBS Element]='VDE01.07.2.a*'")]

I'm not receiving an error message, the report will run. however the field results is empty, no error message is received.

As you use a wildchar (*):
=DSum("ST","[Labor Data]","[WBS Element] Like 'VDE01.07.2.a*'")

Hope This Helps, PH.
