hello -
using CE10.

Does anyone know if there is an internal clock in CE10? We have patched the OS and web server and are considering leaving it at that (we are upgrading to xi in a few weeks and rather not introduce a risk into current production environment).

I've been given conflicting answers from BO which means we will likely apply the patch anyhow. But i am curios as to why it is needed. For most of our other applications, patching the OS does the job.

Yes, there are DST patches for CE-10...

Look at the three downloads listed below -

Crystal Enterprise 10 -- EDST Patch Available (Windows (Part 1 & Part 2 & Part 3)

Crystal Enterprise 10 uses it's own calculations based on UTC for scheduling and clustering purposes, these will be effected if you do not patch your CE-10 infrastructure.

Also, if you are doing a BOE-XI migration soon. Please make sure you use this as your MINIMUM baseline...

BOE-XI (R2)
SERVICE PACK 1
MONTHLY HOT FIX 1
CRITICAL HOT FIX 15

You can look at the details in the forum....
