I need a quick refresh on the DST issue from '07 due to an issue that arose today. Were the DST changes for Exchange 2000/Outlook 2000 all server side, or were there client side components as well?

I had a user miss a big appointment this morning where his Outlook is off by an hour (appointment was at 9, but the Outlook said it was at 10). I've got a copy of the appointment that was sent and the "When" in the appointment says 10-11, but in the body of the request it says 9-10. is this perhaps the senders problem and not mine?

I remember patching my server but can't remember if there was a client patch that needed to be run as well.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

There are no more PDC's! There are DC's with FSMO roles!

Sorry...not looking to fix the problem, I'm looking to do some forensics and determine, back in 2007, what we would have done to resolve the problem.

There is a TimeZone inside of Outlook. This has nothing to do with DST and may be your problem. Veryify this issue on both sender and receiver side and that they are both correct.

And yes, Microsoft put out a patch for Windows XP machines, but Windows 2000 machines had to be manually fixed with TZEDIT.EXE
