Does anyone know how to allow a DPT to drop calls made by other phones on the system. We have a customer at a hotel that would like to have the ability to drop calls placed by customers if they are on the phone for too long. Any help would be appreciated.

we had the same situation at a motel using a partner switch

the partner wires with modular cords into the cabinet so I showed the clerk how to unplug the offending station

you could do the same with a 66 block just get the bridging clips that have a molded handle on them they are available in one two or three pair configuration mark them with the room number and the clerk could go to the phone room pull the clip

look closely in the manual you may be able limit
the call duation of a class service!!

see program 502 you can limit the length
of an outside call from 0-64 mins by class of service
hey if you have a limited amount of trunks on your system
just set that timer to 10 or 15 and flag that COS!!

You can enable the Budget management and set a limit on the call cost you can set the costing on a timer in the inbuilt Hotel mangement feature Check you mauals
