I am trying to diagnose an MGC card (CS100E linux). At the oam> prompt Does the command dsphwcheck have any negative impact on the system (reset, downtime, etc)?

I have never run that command but I look at it as if you are having issues with something and start troubleshooting there is always the chance.

What issue are you having?

That has the card do a self test and shouldn't be disruptive.

dsplooptest though is disruptive. Make sure you do it when there is no need for any dsp resources and that you disable the TN's before running it.
