Hi Guys,

I am installing a new system: 3300 CX II Controller running MCD 4.1. I installed one Quad DSP for compression purposes.
I am getting DSP Alarm, any ideas why?

I have 8 compression licenses.

Regards,

Daniel

Dan, post the alarm details. Easier to figure out that way. And DumpDspBootInfo while you're at it.

You'll need to check the CXII Addendum on MOL. That configuration (Base + Quad 161) doesn't support compression, you'll need either another Quad 161, a C55 card, or a combo card in it.

Irwin,

Sorted!! Instead of the QuadDSP, I installed de new DSP II MMC and the Alarm is gone.

Thanks very much, Regards,

Daniel

that doesn't make any sense. Quad DSP should still provide compression resources.

That being said, DSP II and Quad DSP is same/similar price I think

I believe that with the introduction of the CXII the support for compression on the quad dsp card is being discontinued.

If you want to buy a card for compression, buy the C55 card to future-proof yourself.

Irwin,

What's the part number of C55 card?

Also, can you have a look at my other thread "BRI Trunks call DROP"? We have this customer yealling at everybody in the office when a call is drop.

Regards,

Daniel
