Hi All,

We are using a CS1000E Rls5.5. In one IPMG, we have more TDM ports than DSP resources.
Is there anyway to assure that in the same IPMG some of the TDM ports (PRI and CO) will always have free DSPs (non blocking) while other ports (Digital or Analog sets) will have a standard blocking architecture?

Thanks

Hi Again,

Searching the docs, I found that Zones can be defined as shared or private and thus IP phones in a private zone will use DSP in that privates zone. However, anyway make TDM ports belong to a defined zone? Can not find a Zone prompt in phones, CO, PRI, RAN etc ...

Thanks

thing about that is, the mgc cabinet itself is a zone, or should be.

Yes, this is it.
And in NTPs, they recommend to configure DSPs in a IPMG in a Shared zone to allow all zones to access the cabinet since they use its DSPs.
The issue is how to dedicated a DSP to a TDM port.

it is shared in element manager in zone config, but i do not think you can "part it out" the way you would like to.
