Does Anyone know the syntax for making a DSN' less connection to SQL.<br>I am having to remediate a system written in VB6 that uses either V5 or 6 of Crystal of which i am not familier.<br>The current system relies on an established ODBC connection using the SQL driver, i have replaced most of the connection code using ADO calls and made the DSN'less but the Crystal connector is refusing to recognoise this method.<br><br>Any Help Appreciated.<br><br>Thanks Dave

The one thing you cannot change in the Crystal Report is the Server Type. If the report is originally setup to use ODBC it cannot be changed to a DSN-less connection. The report must be changed to be Native connection and then the server type will change from 'ODBC - DSNName' to the database Server. [sig][/sig]

Are you trying to pass an ADO recordset to the report or have the report connect through ADO? Crystal has an active data driver, but that allows you to create a report that can accept a record set.

If you want to pass an ADO recordset to the report post again. Also, read the FAQ on what to include in your question and include that info to speed things up.
