DSN less connection string to SQL Server

Hello!

how do you find out what your server name/ path is?

we used the following string but it does not work:
"driver={SQL Server};Server=(local); uid=sa; pwd=;"_
&"database=orders"

what did we do wrong??

It is your machine's network name. SQL Server Enterprise Manager should display the name under the 'SQL Server Group' node of the 'tree view'
