Hi,
I'm trying to restart an old ADSM Server.
Database ang log files has been deleted previously.
I've recreate VG/LV mounted on /adsm
df -k /adsm
Syst. fichiers Blocs de 512 octets Libre %Util Iutil %Iutil Monté sur
/dev/lv_adsm 3317760 439952 87% 26 1% /adsm

I've restored database and log files :
ls -al /adsm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root sys 105906176 24 nov 2001 dsmdb01

Try altering the dsmserv.opt file to reflect the following:
-----------------------------
ASSISTVCRRECovery Yes|No |
*
* Parameters
* YES Specifies that the ADSM server will locate
* directly to the end-of-data to allow the 3570/3590
* drives to restore the VCR.
*
* NO Specifies that the ADSM server will not take any
* additional actions.
* Examples
* ASSISTVCRRECOVERY YES Try setting to NO
* ASSISTVCRREC Y Try setting to NO

This is the only automated recovery command that I could find. Note whether or not you are using this by the *asterisk*...

Hope it works!!
