DSL/VPN/DOMAIN-LAN

I just got DSL installed at home. I can connect to my companies VPN however, when I run MSTSC (Microsoft Terminal Server Client) The server I try to contact gives me a terminal window that under normal circumstances would be Blue Desktop with the NT Logon however, in my case is a Black desktop without the NT Logon and after a few moments the Terminal will send a message that Terminal Ended.

Why the Black screen with no Logon window?

My DSL service is Sprint and ISP is Earthlink.
