ok, I have a classmate who is getting DSL soon. I wired up his whole house for phone, so he wants me to work on something for his DSL. There is access to any room in his house to cable, so running anything new is not a problem.
He does not want those splitters at each jack, and I told him about an outdoor DSL Pots Splitter. Has anyone used one? If so, what do you think, what brand do you reccommend, how much does one cost, and can you give me an idea of what the installation is like?
Thanks! jeff moss

i use a Allen tel AT262DSL out door splitter ,place next to phone co. dmarc run a pair from dmarc to network t& R ,your voice lines wire to voice for all your telephones, your dsl modem to data,That it, can't off remember the price as i purchase 10 ,i think they were about 17$

the phone company will probably send a half dozen or so of the inline ones that are supposed to go at each phone.

I take one of these where the telco enters the building and run dialtone off it then run unfiltered to dsl location .

you could either get a small waterproff utility box to mount outside or you could stuff it in the wall behind the first jack.

as to your orginal question I have never used the waterprof outdoor version though I have seen them installed by the telco. they look just like the normal demark box they use only they are labled dsl and have a filtered and unfiltered output
