To start out, the internet is working with no problems. SBC Yahoo DSL was installed on the primary number of a 4 phone line business. The phone lines are supposed to rollover when the primary line is in use. 2 people work out of this office. There are two wall jacks in the office that you can plug a 4 line phone into. If one line is in use and you pick up another phone to make a call the phone displays: "all lines in use" and the phone restricts you from picking up another phone line. The phone automatically picked up the next available line before the DSL was installed. There is a DSL phone filter in place provided by SBC. This filter has one jack for a SBC router connection and a phone line connection. One wall jack has the filter in place with a phone cable plugged into the phone port on the filter. The other wall jack has the SBC router plugged into the router port and the phone plugged into the phone port on the DSL filter. Why will the phones no longer automatically rollover?
I am thinking the DSL filter provided by SBC is only a one phone line DSL filter. Do I need to purchase some sort of multi-line DSL filter?
Any other ideas to resolve this problem?
