Anyone have any pros or cons to share running their business on DSL? We are a central office with 6 remote sites connected through T1's. We're trying to compare going to DSL for cost/speed reasons. My main concern is reliability. Our T1's rarely drop a connection, if ever. This wouldn't be just for Internet access, this would be for access to a central office /datacenter for our remote facilities. Thanks in advance.

One method of regaining reliability with cheaper costs is Dual WAN, one DSL and one Cable, so they do not share any infrastructure.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

DSL will be faster than a T1, and definitely more flexible.

The disadvantage is reliability. The T1 price is mainly for the SLA that comes with it. The DSL will not have this.

That is your main difference.

Hi,
T1 also gives you full duplex connectivity and symmetrical rates which is sometimes nice to have.

The other thing is the SLA I know we provide our T1 customers 4 Hour, 24/7 repair on DSL its 48 hour, 9-5 repair. If its essential to have the link, its essential to have the SLA and MTTR behind it.
