I just recently received yahoo sbc dsl, so far it works pretty well. However, when I try to have my friend fxp me files we cap out at 40-50k (we've tried more than one spot), additionally when we fxp to another friend, he receives up to 400k whre I only get 40k. What could this be from? I'm using the trial version of serv-u, but it states it's fully functionally so it's not capping me. Could sbc someone be capping that type of transfer?? Any clues/ideas?

Would passive mode have anything to do with this (not sure what it is, just saw some settings for it).

Forgot to mention I did that, but didn't change anything because they didn't have PPPoE, available for selection, is another one of those the same things (winxpppoe?), or would I just be normal connection type?

-Nate

winxpppoe or routerppoe are both fine. The critical value is specifying the provisioned speed for your line.
