First I have earthlink dsl, and I have fast speeds when I do connect to a site, my problem is when I click on a web page sometimes it takes a while for the page to start downloading. I have Zonealarm on, and if any of you guys use it you know it has a toolbar icon in the corner and when there is action online it has a little graph showing that there is info being sent and received, but sometimes when I click on a site it won't show any activity for anywhere from thirty seconds to a couple minutes. And it isn't any particular site either. Also, my connection works fine through Kazza or ftps, only a problem browsing. any help.

mr_d_,

It sounds like you have some spyware running on your computer. Kazaa is loaded with it. There are some spywares that will try to connect to their "home" servers to pass information back on your surfing habits. There are "home" servers that are unavailable or no longer in use which results in a delay in surfing.

Get a hold of AdAware from LavaSoft. You can get it from It will scan your system, detect and remove many spyware components. Next, GET RID OF KAZAA for your own sanity.

Hope that helps.
