I am wanting to configure my SOHO 91 router for a static IP address that my ISP gave me. I tried using the web interface, but when everything is setup and the program trys to PING my ISP, it fails. Stating that i need to ensure PPPoE is the connection type, which it is. Although, after speaking with my ISP, they told me not to use this protocol. What other protocols can I use to enable this connection.

Summary:

Have static IP
Need to enable for access to my ISP
Where to I put the local gateway and IP's (I.E. 10.x.x.x)
-This is the info the router pushes down to all my nodes.

I am new to cisco, but know that the routers are powerful and that it should be able to do what I want to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
