Is it possible to use a DSL/Cable Router as a network router like the Cisco 2514 (dual ethernet router) for a 100MBit connection.

I need to get network 1.0.0.x to talk to network 10.0.0.x without using IP Forwarding on a Windows 2000/NT/Linux server. A Cisco 2514 cost too much. I dont need NAT/PAT or any other features. Is there anything like a Cisco 2514, but not Cisco.

Most SOHO routers will allow static and/or dynamic routes between ethernet networks.

Look into the Linksys BEFSR41, should be able to pick one up for < %50.

But will those routers be able to route at the full 10/100 MBit (I dont see why not, but what do I know, I guess thats why I am asking)?
