DSL-500i Console Password - Telus ADSL Ontario

Hi, I am desperately trying to find out the console password for the DSL-500i adsl modem/bridge/router. I have read

in which the DSL-300i was discussed and the username/pass was 'root' / 'orion99' - but this does not work with the 500i.. I have tried everything admin/dlink/blanks.. I have called Telus & Dlink tech support - but no luck. Telus said a development team set it, and since they no longer offer ADSL packages to Ontario they dont know it. Everyone I talk to is basically saying 'they have never heard of this modem - 500i' its cuz its an Eastern Canada Telus PPPoE network with Telus supplying 'wholesale' ADSL through the BELL backbone.. but all I want to do is Port Forward for VNC, and the 500i blocks it, I need to get in and set it up.

FYI, 192.168.0.1 goes into the Telus PPPoE login screen - no admin section.

Telnet does not work.

Does ANYONE know what the user/pass is for the cosole of the DSL-500i?
