Hello, new here.
Just seeing if anyone has a solution to my problem...
Every time I start up my compuer, the Dsk Chk comes up.. If I let it scan through it, it takes roughly 3 hours of doing the same thing, comes up with "checking 1 of 3" or something like that.. Gets to 19% then it comes up with loads of files.. starting with 30000.. goes up to 200,000+ saying they are all unreadable.. It does that 3 times and when it finishes it says an error occured and restarts my comp, then tries to do the same thing again... I can just skip it all the time but some of my files are corrupt and can't delete them so says I have to run DskChk, I've tried running it from the "Run" on the Start Menu, it gets to 19%, computer freezes for a min or two then comes up with a blue screen and restarts all the time..
Don't know if It's possible to fix this but hope someone on here can help :)
Would've re-booted my whole comp but I don't have a system restore disk, only Windows XP disk.

Thanks in advance
Malf.
