dsjob HELP URGEN

Hello there

I hope some body there can help me, I need to run a datasyage job.

The only instruction that I have is

dsjob -run "project-name" "job-name"

when I run it I receive a error -2 job is not in the right state

Can some one help troubleshoot or point me to dsjob documentation

After a job fails in Data Stage, Data Stage requires the job to be recompiled, even if the error was caused by an external problem (database down, file locked, etc).

So you need to open Data Stage Designer, open the job and compile it (blue icon next to green arrow. Then, you can run the job. You can run it in Designer by activating the green arrow or can run it by some other means (schedule, batch, etc).

Can I compile the job from command line?

I don't know (sorry). My guess is yes but I don't know how.
