Ping using protocol NLWNSCK. Net-Lib protocol driver call to connect 2 end points failed."

This is the error message I get when I try to ping my Sybase installation on the SuSE LINUX box. I can ping using the same utility to the Sybase database installed on Solaris. So, I'm sure there is no problem with the dsedit utility. Also, I'm sure the database on LINUX is running fine because there are other users using sqsh and querying the same database.

While installing Sybase on LINUX do I need to install something separately to make dsedit (on my Windows) ping to it successfully.
