DSadd script

When attempting to add users using the DSadd command in a child domain for project in the lab...

Parent Domain = PrimeDomain
Child Domain = ABC
User0001@ABC.PrimeDomain.com

dsadd user cn=User0001,ou=Sales,dc=ABC.PrimeDomain,dc=com -pwd *

or

dsadd user cn=User0001,ou=Sales,dc=ABC,dc=PrimeDomain,dc=com -pwd *

We get the following error..."A referal was returned from the server."

Do you get this error running dsadd on the server or a workstation in the child domain? Has your user account got the correct permissions in the child domain?
