As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have run out of fiber expansion ports on an MICS. The only ports available are reserved for Companion, and I do not have software level 7.1. I can't reasonably upgrade now, as the NAM will need to be upgraded, cost, etc...
So, I have a DS30 Adapter and thought that maybe I could remove the NAM from one of the fiber ports, connect a new DSM to gain some more extension ports, and also use the DS30 on this new DSM to re-connect the NAM for VoiceMail.
This way, I could use the existing NAM port to expand the system, without upgrading the software to use the last two ports of the expansion card.
Sound like it should work? I can't think of a reason why it would not...
