We were having an issue with our S8700's and S8500, where a call would come into our Help desk and would be abandoned either prior to getting to the agent or when the agent went to transfer them to a different help desk. We spoke to Avaya (their INDIA Help Desk (There is a lesson in patience I tell ya) and managed to get them to transfer the issue to the North American Help Desk))Avaya's solution was to try a new patch. We wanted them to put the patch on only the S8700's that way if there were any problems we could switch to one of the S8500's until the patch could be removed. Since the patch, I have been getting DS1 alarms. The weird thing is that they are from only a few of the DS1's that are housed in the off-sites where the S8500's are. Not all of them. My question is this... Do any of you out there think that this issue may be a result of the patch?

Please let me know what you think.

Signed,
Going Nuts.
