DS Expansion mods and wierd DTMF tones...

Good afternoon all....

Has anyone ever noticed that DTMF tones on DS Expansions sound higher pitched? I first noticed it on a customer's 403 w/ 16-ds. They have 9 phones, so there's 1 phone on the 16-ds. That one phone has very odd DTMF. The customer has asked why that phone sounds different. I figured it was just that one DS mod.

Now I'm demoing a 406 and I've got another 16-ds. Its doing the same thing.

Thoughts? Anyone else have this too? Any reason you can think of as to why?

Other than checking if the DS expansion has the same firmware level as the 406, I usually explain this sort of thing to customers as being caused by solar flares, nothing to worry about it will get less noticable in the winter when we're further from the sun....

Yeah, they're the same version. Its just strange, thats all.
