We are going to buy a siren that will work with either a dry contact or an analaog extension. We have the basic Partner ACS system. We simply want to push a button on a phone and have the siren go off. ANy suggestions on the best way to do this.
I was looking a WheeLock model (Do we need to buy a dry contact port or does that come with the system. Can the ACS do analog lines?
Thanks.

Ok. So it does have 2 contact closure ports. Is that the same as a dry contact?

yes but you will need a Contact Closure Adjunct

I'd use the Contact Closure Adjunct - easy to install and use. Can be set to run for 1,3 or 5 seconds - or set to toggle on/off.
Cheers!
Mike

So then what is the point of the contact closure port on the ACS. I thought that it was supposed to do what this adjuct thing is doing.
Thanks for your input.

The Contact closure adjunct plugs into the contact closure port and provides the actual contacts.
