Dropping packets over VPN

I have a VPN connection setup between a main office and a branch office. The main office has Cisco Pix 515 and a solid DSL connection. The branch office has a Cisco Pix 501 and a Wireless internet connection, less than 100 yards from main raido antenna. Most of the time i am recieving 60 - 65 ms ping times, but I am also dropping packets occasionally, which is causing problems with the software. Does anyone have any experience with VPN over wireless internet connection

If I setup firewall for internet access instead of vpn, i can ping our website address with no loss of packets
