Hi Guys,
Got an issue with SL1100's and some SL2100's when calling out to some sites on Gamma SIP trunks, when the called party puts the call on hold or the call is transferred via AA the SL drops the line, it doesnt happen to all sites but on every call to specific sites.
Tried NEC tech who say the called sites must be set up incorrectly and Gamma say its not them which is a fat load of good to me, cant believe I'm the only one with the problem.
Anyone got a fix or a work round its driving me nuts.
Regards,
Bob

A wireshark trace could point to where the disconnect is happening when a call is placed on hold. You could tell whether the disconnect is coming from the NEC or from the provider.

Stepping back a little, what is being presented to callers when they are put on hold or being transferred? If it is silence, the caller may simply believe they were hung up on.

You could use the internal MOH on the system which is horrible but, possibly, better than silence.

Better yet would be a good external MOH device.

Checking on this first might save the labor of a Wireshark trace.

Not as simple as MOH the line is definately dropping well the line key goes out anyways. On sl2100 wireshark aint a problem with the inbuilt tool not so easy on an sl1100.

Get yourself one of these little switches that can do port mirroring. They are handy when the customer doesn't have a switch with the function. I was told years ago this is the new butt set.
