Dropped text and images when printing using Distiller 5

Need some SERIOUS HELP guys/gals. I have a 170+ page manual that I essentially stripped(copy/pasted)from a Framemaker file to WORD 2002. I noticed that as I was pasting the text into the DOC file, it was retaining some of the formatiing such as the field codes for generating Table of Contents information (not a big deal).

HOWEVER, when I print to PDF using DISTILLER 5, I lose most of the text and images (seems random). ALso, if I print jsut a single page, it prints it OK without losing info. I suspect that this has to do with formatting or the hidden field codes in the document. If anyone can shed light and help, PLEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZ. My deadline is tomorrow - YIKES!!

OH, MORE INFO:

If i surround problem pages with seciton breaks, it seems to fix it. This won't work though as I would have to put seciton breaks on EVERY page.

Is there a way to strip all hidden codes from a DOC file in one shot???????
