I have a strange situation, and I'm hoping someone can help.
I've been running IMail Server for about three years with very few problems. I'm currently running v7.0.
Recently a client has tried to send us messages with attachments. We use Outlook as a mail client. When we pop these messages, the attachments do not appear. Outlook doesn't warn you that the attachment was blocked like it will when someone sends you a .exe file. The attachment just doesn't show up. These are usually .TIF or .PDF files.
My first thought was the client just wasn't attaching the files. However, if I use Web Mail to view the messages, the attachments are there, and I can download them fine.
The client also sent the messages to others, who received the attachments. What's more, if they forward the messages, Outlook correctly receives the messages WITH the attachments.
So, it looks to me like it's the combination of client, Outlook and attachment. But what could be going on here? We receive attached files from other clients without problem. Is this bizarre or what?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
