dropdownlist generates content of another dropdownlist

yup i suck,

could someone create a working example of link me to a working example of the following.

i'm looking for [code/script] that when you select an option from a dropdown list it generates the content of another dropdownlist.

So if i click on computer dept. as an option in the first dropdownlist it creates 3 different options in the second dropdownlist.

And if i should click on a different option in the first dropdownlist it will in turn generate 3 different options in the second dropdownlist.
