Dropdown menu created in Fireworks behind layers on preview

I am relatively new to Studio 8, although familiar with Dreamweaver (recently switched from MX 2004). I created a navigation bar in Fireworks - buttons with dropdowns. I imported the file into Dreamweaver, but when I preview, the dropdowns are behind everything else. Am trying to create new site and am frustrated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
