dropdown in a gridview - how?

hi all,

I must be missing something very simple and obvious, but I can't seem to get a dropdown to appear inside a gridview. What steps are needed. I have bound columns, I also tried a template column. I can't drag the dropdown from the toolbox onto the gridview, nor could I do it by writing the tags in the HTML.

Help???

ooops, wrong forum, I'll put this in the .net forum. That's what I get for doing my writng at 5am.
