Dropdown box in html

Hi
I have 4 dropdown boxes and The first one is the report dropdown. If someone selects A particular report from this dropdown I want it be make visible the other dropdown let say X. If someone picks a category in X I want for another dropdown to show up let say Y. How do I set parameters in HTML for dropdowns. Thanks

to allow the boxes to assign values based on previous choices. the other option is to submit each box and use serverside scripting to assign the values

Html alone won't be able to do this. You'll need to have javascript and/or your server-side script handle this.

Or you could just make all of the dropdowns visible from the start.
