Ok, so I am using a logo from illustrator CS and it has a drop shadow created in InDesign CS. The problem is when I open the CS file in InDesign CS2, the drop shadow that went around the logo now forms a box and does not flow with the contours of the logo itself.

I have tried to think of why this would be by saving the logo as an illustrator CS2 file but that has not helped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am working on a tight deadline.

Thanks!

If you have something where you can see what it's supposed to look like, You can try slelcting it in ID, and go to Object menu/drop shadow and see if drop sahdow comes up checked. If yes, try unchecking it, check preview and then clcik drop shadow again and see if it follows.

You might try to see if there's any grouping, etc that would make the shadow apply to a bounding box rather than the object itself. If the logo was placed in a box and the box was grouped with the logo, the shadow will follow the box.
