Hi all, I managed to get my drop menu to work, it was quite obvious when I got there. I now have another problem. I know how to make the buttons work thanx to a script I found within this site (can't remember who from) but the problem I have now is this: I am using a hidden button ("onmouseOver goto frame 1") to close the menu onmouseOut which works very well when used on its own. When, on the other hand, I include it within the actual site I am working on, as soon as you mouseOver the "Hidden" button (from the outside, before you get to trigger button) it sends the whole scene that the movie clip is in back to frame one. Anyone know why this happens as it took me ages to find the script to manipulate a movie from a movie clip, now it just does it on it's own.>:):O>

I'm not totally sure I understand what your problem is, but it sounds like an addressing problem. Try using labels for reseting the drop down movie clip, rather than telling it to go to frame one - i.e. if you have 2 states, like IN and OUT, label them accordingly, and use the label names ... it'll make it a lot easier to do.

Good luck!

I managed to sort it out but the proxy server at work went down and I could not get back here and tell people that.

cheers anyway

PS it was an addressing problem, the movie clip was marked as a button. (I never had this with Flash4 and I'm still fairly new to 5. Guess I'll get there in the end)>:):O>
