Another day, another problem!

I'm trying to do dropdown menus using <submenu>. I've got 2 questions!

1) Do you need to have an href in the <item> in the submenu? If not can you
2) Can you have nested <submenu>'s?

I'm asking these because I want to create a menu that when the mouse is held over a choice another menu appears with more options. It's a bit difficult to explain but the nearest example I can give is File> New> in Windows!

I need multiple meanus like this for report selection, basically it would go:

Reports>
Company>
Client>
Task> Name of task > report for selected task
Area> Name of area > report for selected area
etc>

Can anybody help me with this?

Thanks
:)

hi
yes you need item in the sub menu
yes for the second question

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but could you possibly expand?!

How, if you have HREF within <ITEM> in the <SUBMENU>, do you reference another <SUBMENU>?

I assume that you just nest the <submenu> as you would <frameset> or anything else that you might nest.

Thanks again

Hi, assuming you're doing this for navigation purposes, please see this faq from the Javascript forum
