Drop down menu separator? 1

Hi

Is there any way to add a separator into a drop down menu that doesn't involve sticking some "-------" into the values? (which of course is selectable).

You could try using the <optgroup> element to group your <option>s together.

I am sure you people keep inventing new tags just to confuse us.

Are there any pitfalls in using the <optgroup> tag, we should be awrae of, or do all the major browsers support it?
